Sorry for not updating sooner. Things have just been crazy.
TanaLee is heading toward heart surgery on Thursday. Doctors are working to get more fluid off of her. They placed a drain in a few days ago and so far it has kept her belly size down.

Yesterday was the first day that she didn't gain weight from the extra fluid. We are just hoping she continues to lose weight so that her lungs can expand enough to ventilate. By the way she is still listed for a transplant but she is now listed inactive because of her fluid. This means that if a organ comes available it will bypass Tanalee until she is well enough for the transplant surgery. :(

She is currently NPO or not feeding by mouth. She is on TPN (nutrition by vain). She has one arterial line and one peripheral. She also still has her bivouac line in as well. She tested positive for an infection a few days ago but since it has come back negative. We have her on antibiotics to protect her. Her kidney and liver function has made her get portal hyper tention, which is causing her liver to soak up fluid but not spit it out. But her liver function isn't getting worse or isnt due to the portal hyper tention, it is only making her more puffy.
